Duke Robillard stands out as one of the top blues guitarists of his generation. However, his repertoire includes swing, jazz, standards and rockabilly, too. BB King called him, "One of the great players." Duke's career was launched when he co-founded Roomful of Blues in 1967. Then in 1990, he became a member of The Fabulous Thunderbirds. Most of his career, Duke has been the leader of his own band. He's received multi-Grammy nominations and was voted the prestigious W.C. Handy blues award 4 straight years during the early 2000's. Multi-award winning program director Ray White, caught up with Duke backstage in June of 2011 to talk about his stints in Roomful and Thunderbirds, playing with Blues' greats, and his Passport To The Blues album.
