History making flute player Althea Rene, was the first flautist to reach the number one spot on a Billboard chart.  Drawing music inspiration from her father (one of Motown's original Funk Brothers), Dezie McCullers, Althea has landed on the Top 20 charts five times.  In 2018, she released a book too - titled "Becoming Chocolate Barbie."  Althea just released her latest album - Flawsome, to critical reviews. Multi-award winning program director Ray White, spends some time with Althea backstage and shares the highlights of that interview.  Lisa Davis features Tito Jackson, of that famous Motown family, in her showcase segment.  His most recent studio release is Tito Time.  For more information on our show, visit us at Coool CAT
